The session lines appear at the wrong times on my chart. The Asian session does not start at 8 PM.

Session times are defined in Eastern Time (ET). If your TradeStation data feed or chart time zone is set to a different zone (Central, Pacific, UTC), the lines will appear offset. Either adjust the session time inputs to match your chart's timezone, or change your chart's time zone to Eastern. Check your chart's time axis to confirm what timezone it displays.

Question 2

I do not see any Asian range horizontal lines even though ShowAsianRange is true.

The Asian range lines require enough bars within the Asian session window to establish a high and low. Make sure your chart has data loaded that covers the 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM ET window. On daily charts, intraday session lines are not meaningful — this indicator is designed for intraday charts (1-minute to 15-minute). Also verify that the AsianStart and AsianEnd times are correct for your data feed timezone.

Can I customize the session times for different markets or time zones?

Yes. All six time inputs (AsianStart, AsianEnd, LondonStart, LondonEnd, NYStart, NYEnd) are fully configurable. Enter times in 24-hour format matching your chart's time zone. For example, if your chart displays Central Time, subtract one hour from each default value. For forex traders in different regions, adjust the times to match your local institutional session windows.

Question 4

The sweep markers appear too frequently. Price keeps touching the Asian range lines.

Accepted Answer

The sweep marker fires each time price crosses an Asian range boundary during London or NY sessions. In choppy markets that oscillate around the Asian range, multiple sweeps can occur. This is accurate behavior — each crossing is a genuine sweep event. Focus on the first sweep of each boundary as the highest-conviction Judas swing signal. Subsequent sweeps of the same level carry less weight.

Question 5

The ActiveSess column shows 0 for all symbols even during market hours.

Accepted Answer

The session time inputs default to Eastern Time. If your RadarScreen data feed uses a different timezone, the session windows will not align with actual market activity. Adjust the six time inputs (AsianStart, AsianEnd, LondonStart, LondonEnd, NYStart, NYEnd) to match your data feed's timezone. Also ensure you are using intraday intervals — session detection does not work on daily or weekly intervals.

Question 6

SweptHi and SweptLo are both showing 1 for the same symbol. What does that mean?

Both sides of the Asian range were swept during the current session. This can happen in highly volatile markets or during major news events. When both sides are swept, the Judas swing signal is less clear because there is no single directional bias. The SweepDir column will show 0. Focus on symbols where only one side was swept for the cleanest setups.

Question 7

AsianHi and AsianLo show the same value or zeros for some symbols.

Accepted Answer

This occurs when the symbol has no data during the Asian session window (8:00 PM - 12:00 AM ET). US equities that only trade during regular hours will not have Asian session data. The indicator is designed for instruments that trade during the Asian session: futures, forex, and some ETFs with extended hours. For equities, the Asian range columns will be empty or zero.

Question 8

I do not see any sweep dots even though the chart indicator shows the Asian range was broken.

Accepted Answer

The ShowMe requires the sweep to occur during a defined killzone session (London or New York). If the Asian range was broken during the off-session gap between Asian close and London open (12:00 AM - 2:00 AM ET), no dot will appear because that window is not a killzone. The Judas swing concept specifically applies to sweeps during killzone sessions. Also verify your session time inputs match your chart's timezone.

Question 9

I see sweep dots but price did not actually reverse after the sweep.

Accepted Answer

The dot marks the sweep event itself, not a guaranteed reversal. Not every Asian range sweep results in a Judas swing reversal. The highest-conviction reversals occur during the London killzone when the sweep happens in the first hour (2:00-3:00 AM ET) and price quickly closes back inside the range. New York session sweeps are more likely to be genuine breakouts rather than deceptive sweeps.

Can I adjust the Asian session times for different instruments or time zones?

Yes. All six session time inputs are fully configurable. The defaults are calibrated for Eastern Time forex and futures markets. If your data feed uses a different timezone, adjust all six inputs accordingly. Some traders customize the Asian window to 7:00 PM - 12:00 AM ET for a wider consolidation range, or narrow it to 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM ET to capture only the core Asian liquidity hours.

Question 11

I do not see any colored bars even though the indicator is applied.

Accepted Answer

The PaintBar only colors bars that fall within one of the three killzone windows. If you are viewing a chart during off-session hours (e.g., 10:30 AM - 8:00 PM ET on the default settings), bars will retain their normal colors. Scroll back to overnight hours to see the Asian and London colored bars, or wait for the next killzone window. Also verify your session time inputs match your chart's timezone.

Can I change the session colors?

Yes. To change colors, right-click anywhere on the chart, go to Studies > Edit Studies..., select the indicator, click the Inputs tab, and change AsianColor, LondonColor, and NYColor to any TradeStation color name or RGB values. The defaults (Yellow, Cyan, Magenta) are chosen for maximum contrast against dark chart backgrounds and against each other. Choose colors that are clearly distinguishable from your normal candlestick colors.

Question 13

Some bars are colored but they appear at odd times. The session boundaries seem wrong.

Accepted Answer

This is a timezone mismatch. The session time inputs are designed for Eastern Time. If your TradeStation chart displays a different timezone (Central, Pacific, UTC, etc.), the colored bars will appear shifted. Adjust all six time inputs to match your chart's timezone. For example, if your chart shows Central Time, subtract one hour from each default value (AsianStart becomes 1900 instead of 2000, etc.).
