Breaker Block RadarScreen brings polarity flip zone detection to your watchlist scanning workflow. Color-coded columns show which symbols have active breaker blocks, how close price is to those zones, whether a retest is occurring, and when new breakers form — all across your entire watchlist simultaneously.

  • NrBullDst and NrBearDst columns show percentage distance to the nearest bullish or bearish breaker block — teal background when a breaker exists for that side
  • BullCnt and BearCnt show how many active bullish and bearish breaker zones exist for each symbol — green for bullish, crimson for bearish
  • InBullBrk and InBearBrk columns light up with strong green or red backgrounds when price is currently inside a breaker zone — these are your active retest signals
  • NewBrk column flashes amber when a fresh breaker block was just identified on the current bar — sort by this to catch new polarity flips as they occur
  • RetestCnt tracks the total number of retests across all active breakers for each symbol — higher retest counts suggest the zone is weakening

Sort by InBullBrk or InBearBrk to find symbols currently retesting breaker zones. Sort by NrBullDst or NrBearDst ascending to find symbols approaching a polarity flip level. Sort by NewBrk to catch fresh breaker formations the moment they appear.

All signals use completed bar data only. Non-repainting guaranteed.

Who This Is For

Built for advanced SMC traders managing 20-80 symbol watchlists who trade retest entries at polarity flip zones. Use this to monitor your entire universe for breaker proximity and active retest signals without manually checking charts.

Add the scanner to your main RadarScreen window. During market hours, sort by InBullBrk descending to find symbols where price is currently inside a bullish breaker zone. Sort by NrBullDst ascending to find symbols approaching breaker zones for potential retest setups.

When you spot a symbol with InBullBrk = 1 or InBearBrk = 1, switch to the chart indicator to see the exact breaker zone boundaries and CE midpoint for precision entry timing. Check RetestCnt to assess zone freshness — first retests (RetestCnt = 0 for that specific zone) have the highest probability.

Works on any timeframe. Use 5-minute for intraday scanning, daily for swing trade identification. Performs best on liquid markets with genuine institutional participation.

Step 8: Configure your watchlist and columns

Add your symbols to the RadarScreen watchlist. Adjust column widths by dragging column borders. Key inputs: SwingStrength (default 5), MaxBrkAge (default 100), MaxBrkCount (default 10). Sort by InBullBrk or InBearBrk to find active retest setups. Ensure additional bars loaded is at least 500 in the General tab.

Common Issues

All columns show zeros. No breaker blocks are detected for any symbol.

Breaker blocks require a full OB failure cycle which needs significant historical data. Right-click the indicator column header, go to Studies > Edit for All Symbols..., click the General tab, and ensure additional bars loaded is set to at least 500-1000. Breakers are also inherently rarer than regular order blocks — scan larger watchlists to find the few symbols with active breaker zones. You can also reduce SwingStrength to 3 for faster detection.

InBullBrk shows 1 but I do not see the zone on my chart. Why?

This is likely a timeframe mismatch. RadarScreen calculates on the interval set in the interval selector (bottom-right corner). If your RadarScreen is set to 15-minute but your chart is on 5-minute, the breaker zones will differ because market structure breaks occur at different levels on different timeframes. Match the RadarScreen interval to your chart timeframe.

How do I find symbols approaching a breaker zone for the first time?

Sort by NrBullDst or NrBearDst ascending to find symbols closest to a breaker zone. Check RetestCnt — if it shows 0, the breaker has not been retested yet, which is the highest-probability setup. Symbols with NrBullDst under 1.0 (within 1% of the zone) and RetestCnt = 0 are your top candidates.
