Breaker Block PaintBar
Breaker Block PaintBar adds an unmissable visual layer to your chart by coloring entire price bars when the close is inside an active breaker block zone. Green bars signal price is inside a bullish breaker zone — a former bearish OB that flipped to demand. Red bars signal price is inside a bearish breaker zone — a former bullish OB that flipped to supply. Bars outside all breaker zones retain their normal candlestick colors.
- ●Green-colored bars appear when price closes inside a bullish breaker block — potential long entry at the polarity flip level
- ●Red-colored bars appear when price closes inside a bearish breaker block — potential short entry at the flipped supply level
- ●BullBrkColor and BearBrkColor inputs let you customize the highlight colors to match your chart theme
- ●Optional AlertOnZoneEntry fires an alert on the first bar entering a breaker zone
- ●Tracks entry state per zone — alerts fire only once per zone visit, not on every bar inside
- ●Bullish takes priority if price is simultaneously inside both a bullish and bearish breaker zone
The PaintBar is the fastest way to see breaker zone interaction on a busy chart. When you see green or red bars, you know price is inside a polarity flip zone without needing to check zone boundaries or read any data.
All signals are guaranteed non-repainting. Once a bar is colored on close, the color will never change.

Who This Is For
Breaker Block PaintBar is designed as a visual confirmation layer that works alongside the chart indicator and ShowMe study. Use it when you want the fastest possible recognition of when price is interacting with breaker zones.
Apply it to the same chart as the Breaker Block chart indicator. The zones show you where polarity flips occurred, and the painted bars show you exactly which bars are inside those zones. Add the ShowMe study for entry dots at the transition point.
Particularly effective on 1-minute to 5-minute charts during active trading sessions when you need instant awareness across multiple chart windows. The color contrast between green/red breaker bars and normal candlestick colors makes zone interaction visible even when scrolling quickly.

Common Issues
I do not see any colored bars on my chart. The indicator is applied but nothing is painted.
The PaintBar only colors bars when the close is inside an active breaker block zone. Breaker blocks are rare by nature — they require a full OB failure and polarity flip. If no active breakers exist near current price, no bars will be painted. Check the chart indicator to see where breaker zones are relative to current price.
Can I change the zone colors to something other than green and red?
Yes. Right-click anywhere on the chart, go to Studies > Edit Studies..., select the study, and click the Inputs tab. Change BullBrkColor and BearBrkColor to any TradeStation color name (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, White, etc.) or RGB values. Choose colors that contrast well with your candlestick colors for maximum visibility.
Can I use this alongside the Order Blocks PaintBar?
Yes, but be aware that both PaintBars will try to color the same bars, and one will override the other. TradeStation applies PaintBar studies in the order they were added — the last one applied takes priority. To avoid conflicts, use different colors for each PaintBar so you can distinguish which zones price is inside.
