Liquidity Sweep PaintBar
Liquidity Sweep PaintBar adds an unmissable visual layer to your chart by coloring the exact bars where liquidity sweeps occur. Cyan bars signal bullish sweeps — price wicked below a swing low to trigger stops but closed back above, indicating institutional accumulation. Magenta bars signal bearish sweeps — price wicked above a swing high but closed back below, indicating institutional distribution. Non-sweep bars retain their normal candlestick colors.
- ●Cyan-colored bars mark bullish liquidity sweeps — the wick penetrated below a tracked swing low but the close recovered above it
- ●Magenta-colored bars mark bearish liquidity sweeps — the wick penetrated above a tracked swing high but the close dropped below it
- ●BullSweepColor (default Cyan) and BearSweepColor (default Magenta) inputs let you customize highlight colors
- ●MinSweepDepth filter ensures only genuine sweeps with meaningful penetration are colored — marginal touches are ignored
- ●Optional AlertOnSweep fires an audio alert on every confirmed sweep bar
- ●Uses the same detection engine as the full bundle — SwingStrength, MaxLevels, MaxAge, and MinSweepDepth inputs are shared
The PaintBar is the fastest visual layer in the bundle. At a glance — even across multiple chart windows — you can see which bars were sweep events by their distinctive color. When you spot a colored bar, switch to the chart indicator or ShowMe for detailed analysis.
All signals are guaranteed non-repainting. Once a bar is colored on close, the color will never change.

Who This Is For
Liquidity Sweep PaintBar is designed as a visual confirmation layer that works alongside the chart indicator and ShowMe study. Use it when you want split-second recognition of sweep events, especially when monitoring multiple chart windows during active trading.
Apply it to the same chart as the Liquidity Sweep chart indicator. The tracked levels and solid line transformations show you where and when sweeps occur, and the painted bars make the sweep bars impossible to miss. Add the ShowMe study for quality metrics at each sweep point.
Particularly effective on 1-minute to 5-minute charts during volatile market sessions when sweeps happen quickly and you need instant awareness. The color contrast between cyan/magenta sweep bars and normal candlestick colors makes signals visible even when scrolling through charts rapidly.
Works on any timeframe and liquid market. Use the same detection settings across all studies in the bundle for consistent signal generation.

Common Issues
I do not see any colored bars. The indicator is applied but nothing is painted.
Liquidity sweeps are selective events requiring the specific wick-beyond-close-inside pattern at a confirmed swing level. If the market is trending smoothly without any stop-hunt activity, no bars will be painted. This is normal. Wait for volatile market conditions or reduce SwingStrength to track more levels. Ensure MinSweepDepth is not set too high — the default 0.1 ATR works for most markets.
I see a colored bar but it looked like a normal breakout, not a reversal. Is the signal wrong?
The PaintBar detects the wick-beyond-close-inside pattern on the sweep bar itself. What happens on subsequent bars depends on follow-through. Some sweeps lead to immediate reversals; others see continued momentum in the breakout direction on the next bar. The colored bar identifies the pattern — use the chart indicator and ShowMe quality metrics to assess probability, and always wait for confirmation before entering.
Can I change the sweep colors?
Yes. To change colors, right-click anywhere on the chart, go to Studies > Edit Studies..., select the indicator, click the Inputs tab, and change BullSweepColor and BearSweepColor to any TradeStation color name (Green, Red, Yellow, White, etc.) or RGB values. Choose colors that contrast with your chart's normal candlestick colors for maximum visibility.
